Moray Welsh has had a distinguished career as soloist and chamber music player. While still a student at York University his playing was recognised by Benjamin Britten, with whom he played the composer's Sonata for cello and piano. Britten arranged an introduction to Rostropovich, which led to an invitation to study with him in Moscow. He played several times at the Proms and has toured abroad with many British orchestras, including the LSO, Philharmonia, the RPO, and BBC Scottish SO, and appeared as a soloist in Scandinavia, Europe, the USSR, the USA, and the Far East.
With a career spanning over five decades, Martin Roscoe is one of the UK’s best loved pianists. He is equally at home in concerto, recital and chamber music. His popularity and reputation are built on his thoughtful musicianship and rapport with audiences and fellow musicians alike.
